Fouzi Lekjaa has been re-elected as President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for a new term, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The confirmation was made on Friday during the Federation's General Assemblies, where Lekjaa retained the confidence of the Moroccan football stakeholders to continue leading the country's football affairs.

Lekjaa has overseen a period of remarkable growth for Moroccan football, with the national teams achieving significant success on the continental and global stages.

Under his leadership, Morocco became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of a FIFA World Cup at the 2022 tournament in Qatar.

The Federation has also made major investments in football infrastructure and youth development, contributing to the continued rise of Moroccan football across various levels.

With his re-election now confirmed, Lekjaa is expected to continue spearheading the Federation's strategic plans as Morocco prepares to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.
