Tornadoes Vs Nasarawa United: Majin Urges Players To Begin Season With Victory
Precious Oham
Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser, Majin Mohammed has charged his players to rise up to occasion, as the Ikon Allah Boys clash with the Solid Miners in season opener, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The two teams are set to battle it out at the mainbowl of Rashidi Yekini Stadium (Kwara Sports Complex) Ilorin for the rescheduled Match Day 1 fixture.
Mohammed said his team is aware of all that is at stake, being their first NPFL game of the season and to be played away from home.
"We are not happy that this game is going to be decided outside our home venue, which usually serves as motivation for the players to perform better, but nonetheless, we are used to playing home games away from home, so this is not any different and we are going to approach it like any other game."
"We have all the odds in our favour, recalled that last season, we started our NPFL campaign here in Ilorin and we won by 2-1 and as fortune will have it this season, we are starting another season here, which implies that the environment is not longer new to us." Majin Said.
The last time the two teams squared up in this fixture last season, spoils were shared at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna as it ended in goalless.
Majin Mohammed picked 4 points over his counterpart Mbwas Mangut, then with Plateau United, as Tornadoes edged the Peace Boys in Jos 2-1 and drew 1-1 in the reversed fixture in Kaduna.
The two coaches are set to face off in what promises to be a blockbuster North Central Derby at a no man's land.
