Moroccan FA to Hold Gala for Regragui, Unveil Ouahbi as New Coach

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has announced plans to host a special gala to officially bid farewell to former head coach Walid Regragui, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The ceremony is intended to honour Regragui’s remarkable achievements with the Morocco national football team, widely known as the Atlas Lions. 

Under his leadership, Morocco made history by reaching the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, becoming the first African and Arab nation to achieve the feat.

The federation said the gala will celebrate his contribution to Moroccan football and his role in one of the country’s greatest sporting moments.

Following the tribute, the federation will officially introduce Mohamed Ouahbi as the new head coach of the Atlas Lions as the team begins preparations for upcoming international competitions.
