The buses used for the transportation of players, officials and accredited delegations during the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco will be returned to their owners immediately after the tournament, a Spanish manufacturer has confirmed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Spanish vehicle company Irizar clarified that the fleet of buses deployed throughout the competition belongs to the company and was rented exclusively for AFCON 2025.

The clarification follows public speculation surrounding the ownership and future use of the buses currently seen conveying national teams and CAF officials between match venues and official events.

According to Irizar, the arrangement with the Moroccan organizers was strictly contractual and limited to the duration of the tournament, after which all vehicles will be shipped back to the company.

The buses have been a visible part of the tournament’s logistics, providing transport services across host cities as Morocco continues to host the continent’s flagship football event.

AFCON 2025 is scheduled to conclude this weekend, after which the logistics arrangements tied to the competition will formally come to an end.
