Morocco Vs Uganda: Cranes Test Strength Before AFCON Group C Challenge Against Super Eagles
By Admin
Uganda’s national football team, the Cranes, who are in the same AFCON 2025 Group C as Nigeria’s Super Eagles, will play a friendly match against tournament hosts Morocco as part of their preparations for the continental championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The friendly was announced on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Moroccan national team. The match is scheduled to take place on November 18 at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.
The encounter is expected to help the Ugandan side fine-tune their tactics ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in December 2025.
Uganda will face a challenging group in the tournament, which includes Nigeria, Tunisia, the 2004 AFCON champions and Tanzania.
The Super Eagles and Cranes are set to meet in their final Group C fixture on December 30, a game that could prove decisive in determining qualification for the knockout stage.
The upcoming clash will mark the second-ever AFCON meeting between Nigeria and Uganda. Their previous encounter came in the 1978 semi-finals, when Uganda defeated Nigeria 2–1 before eventually losing to hosts Ghana in the final.
