NBBF Announces Open Tryouts for U-18 National Teams

The Nigeria Basketball Federation has officially announced open tryouts for the country's Under-18 Boys and Girls National Teams as preparations begin for upcoming international competitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The federation disclosed that the exercise is aimed at identifying and developing talented young basketball players from across Nigeria, providing them with an opportunity to earn places in the national teams.

According to the NBBF, the open tryouts will serve as a platform for top prospects to showcase their abilities before the national team selectors and coaching staff as the federation intensifies efforts to build competitive squads for future continental and global events.

The initiative is part of the federation's talent development programme, which focuses on discovering and nurturing emerging basketball stars capable of representing Nigeria at the highest level.

Interested players from different parts of the country are expected to participate in the exercise as they seek to secure spots in the U-18 Boys and Girls National Teams.
