NBBF Confirms August 9 Tip-Off For 2025 Men’s Premier League

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has fixed 9th August as the official tip-off date for the 2025 Men’s Basketball Premier League across various conferences, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a letter signed by League Chairman Babatunde Ogunade and NBBF Secretary Amina O. Amanchi, and sent to State Ministries of Youth and Sports Commissions, the Federation revealed that the league will run in four phases: Group Stage, Inter-Group, Playoffs, and Final Four, with host centres to be announced later.

The 16 participating teams are divided into four groups across two conferences: Savannah Conference

Group A: Nile University, Nigeria Customs, Gboko Chiefs, Correctional

Group B: Kano Pillars, Plateau Peaks, Gombe Bulls, Bauchi Nets

Atlantic Conference

Group A: Comets, Police Barton, Lagos Legends, Hoops & Reeds

Group B: Rivers Hoopers, Delta Force, Oluyole Warriors, Kwara Falcons
