NBPL: Odaoudu Sends Warning As Rivers Hoopers Eye Next Phase

Rivers Hoopers head coach, Ogoh Odaoudu, has issued a strong warning to potential rivals after his team’s impressive showing in the just-concluded phase of the Nigerian Basketball Premier League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The reigning champions maintained their unbeaten run in the Atlantic Conference group phase, edging Kwara Falcons 88-86 in a tense midweek clash in Port Harcourt.

Earlier in the campaign, the 2024 BAL bronze medalists had outclassed the same opponents 83-61 in their opening fixture.

With the group stage now wrapped up, Odaoudu is already shifting focus to the upcoming inter-group phase, which is also scheduled to take place in Port Harcourt later this month.

“A lot of the youngsters are really stepping up and learning from the veterans. I’m confident we’ll be in top form when the next phase begins,” Odaoudu assured.

If the Hoopers successfully navigate the inter-group stage, they will advance to the playoffs, before the season concludes with the much-anticipated Final Four.
