NFF Directs Indebted Clubs To Offset Debts Or Risk Sanctions

The Nigeria Football Federation Players Status and Arbitration Committee has directed indebted clubs in the Nigeria National League, NNL, to offset players' debts, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the clubs by the NNL Chief Operating Officer, Danlami Alanana ahead of the commencement of the 2025/26 football season.
The letter reads: "We convey to you warm compliments of the Chairman, Board Members, Management and Staff of the Nigeria National League.
"We are under the instruction of the Nigeria Football Federation that all clubs indebted to players, Coaches and administrators which have been adjucated by the Players Status and Arbitration Committee must be complied with before clubs will be allowed to register for the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League season.
"Concerned clubs are therefore expected to show evidence of compliance with the decisions of the NFF Players Status and Arbitration Committee when coming for registration.
"While thanking you for your cooperation, please, accept the assurances of our highest sporting regards."
