Nigeria National League side Doma United has publicly refuted claims that forward Emmanuel Jesam has been sold to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) giants Rangers International, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Enugu-based side unveiled Jesam over the weekend, announcing that they had secured his services from the Gombe-based club. However, Doma United has now issued a strongly worded statement denying any such transfer.

“Doma United FC wishes to address recent developments concerning our player, Emmanuel Jesam.

We express our disappointment at the images circulating online showing Jesam posing with a Rangers International jersey and being unveiled by an official of the club. We categorically state that Emmanuel Jesam is still under a valid contract with Doma United. At no point has there been any official communication, negotiation, or agreement between Doma United and Rangers International regarding his transfer.

This action by Rangers International FC is highly improper, undermines the integrity of inter-club relations, and disregards standard transfer protocols,” the statement read.

The club further emphasized: “We hereby notify the general public, football stakeholders, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that Emmanuel Jesam remains a player of Doma United FC.

We will not hesitate to take all necessary and appropriate measures to protect our rights and ensure that due process is followed. We call on Rangers International FC to immediately clarify their actions and respect existing contractual obligations.”
