NPFL: Katsina United Rewarded With Cash Bonus For Draw Against Shooting Stars

Katsina United players have received a cash reward of ₦520,000 for securing a valuable away point in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 11 encounter against Shooting Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Chanji Boys earned a 1-1 draw against the Oluyole Warriors at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, last Sunday.

The Katsina State Sports Commissioner, Surajo Yazid Abukur, alongside the club’s chairman, Surajo Malumfashi, made the monetary donation to appreciate the team’s effort.

Abukur commended the players for their spirited display and reaffirmed the state’s continued support for the club.

With the result, Katsina United climbed to 10th place on the NPFL table with 16 points.

They are set to host newly promoted Barau FC in their next league fixture this weekend at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
