NPFL: Katsina United Slammed With ₦9m Fine, Home Games Moved to Jos

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed a ₦9 million fine on Katsina United for breaching the league’s Framework and Rules during their match against Barau FC on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to the NPFL, the club was found guilty of multiple infractions relating to crowd misconduct and failure to provide adequate security during the fixture played at the Ahmadu Dikko Stadium.
As part of the sanctions, Katsina United will play all their subsequent home matches behind closed doors and at a neutral venue the New Jos Stadium until further notice.
The league body stated that the decision was made to safeguard the integrity of the competition and ensure the safety of players, officials, and fans.
Katsina United have been given 48 hours to appeal the ruling if they wish to contest the sanctions.
