NPFL 26: Abia Warriors Face Injury Crisis Ahead Of Kwara United Clash

Ahead of the match day seven encounter in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Abia Warriors will be without the services of some key players, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abia Warriors will lock horns with Kwara United in a Nigerian Premier Football League fixture on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Kwara State Sports Complex. Kickoff time is 4 :00 pm.

The Warriors will be hosted by a side, being tutored by their former assistant coach, Tunde Sanni, in a thrilling encounter featuring Nigeria's two Continental representatives.

The Umuahia-based side will look to build upon the hard-fought victory they secured over the Nigerian Champions, Remo Stars, in a rescheduled encounter last Thursday in Umuahia.

In a match preview, the club confirmed that the trio of skipper, Augustine Njoku, winger, Ayodele Ezekiel and goalkeeper, Nmecha Johnson are still out.

Also in the injury list is Paul Samson, who is out with a knock. Umu Chineke are currently placed 4th on the league table after five games, while the Harmony Boys are occupying the 7th position after the same number of matches played.
