Plateau United head coach, Shola Adegun has described his side's performance against Rangers International as their worst results this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Plateau United fell 2-0 to Rangers Int'l at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu in a match day three encounter of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

Adegun expressed optimism that his team will bounce back to winning ways having accumulated zero points from three matches and are languishing in the basement of the league table.

According to him, "This is not the result that we wanted but we wanted to see improvements from the first two games. We got some of that shades in the game. It's sounds strange giving that it is probably our worst results so far.

"I take more positives and I think for the first time, we are starting to see bits and pieces of what we can do. I prefer to focus on the positives from this game and take that to the next game.

"We are a little bit short of confidence but it's our job to give them the confidence to go into the next game, trusting and believing that they can get goals at the back of the net."
