NTTF Unveils Squads For Continental, Regional Tournaments In Ghana and Guinea

The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) has announced the players that will represent the country at a series of continental and regional tournaments scheduled to take place in Ghana and Guinea later this month, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
For the 2026 Africa Hopes Week & Challenges, billed for July 13 to 18 in Accra, Ghana, Nigeria will be represented by Umar Ayoola, Habeeb Adebayo, Emmanuella Shaibu, and Elizabeth Eminike. At the Western Region Championships in Guinea,
Matthew Kuti will captain the Nigerian team alongside Abdulbasit Abdulfatai, Funmilayo Ojo, and Khadijat Okanlawon.
The tournament will hold from July 15 to 18, with Nigeria aiming to successfully defend its men's and women's singles titles against top competitors from across West Africa.
Team and singles honours will be contested during the championship. Kuti will also lead Nigeria's boys' U-19 team at the African Youth Championships.
He will be joined by Sultan Agunbiade, Matthew Fabunmi, and Quadri Atunwon.
The girls' U-19 squad comprises Funmilayo Ojo, Khadijat Okanlawon, Kabirat Ayoola, and Khadijah Musa.
In the U-15 category, Joseph Victor, Samson Joshua, Joseph Marvelous, and Ayoola will represent Nigeria in the boys' event, while Aishat Rabiu, Aziza Sezuo, Chinenye Okafor, and Elizabeth Emelike have been selected for the girls' team.
The federation will be hoping the selected athletes deliver strong performances as Nigeria seeks more success on the continental and regional stage.
