The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has issued a stern warning against age falsification ahead of the 9th National Youth Games (NYG), scheduled for August 26 to September 7 in Asaba, Delta State, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a statement signed by Secretary General Monica Otumala, the Federation reaffirmed that the Games are strictly for athletes aged 15 and below, stressing that fair play and youth development remain the core objectives of the competition.

Otumala revealed that the HFN has put measures in place to detect and disqualify teams attempting to field ineligible players, while assuring that only qualified athletes will be allowed to participate.

Under the leadership of President Samuel Ocheho, the Federation restated its commitment to fairness, transparency, and integrity in the sport, urging all states to comply fully with eligibility rules and logistical requirements to ensure a smooth handball tournament at the Games.
