National Sports Federation Releases Nomination Forms, Election Timetable

The Electoral Committee of the National Sports Federation has officially released the nomination forms and election timetable ahead of the forthcoming 2025 National Sports Federation Elections, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the committee, the nomination forms, which have been duly approved, will be available for collection and submission at the secretariat of each federation between 6th and 11th September 2025, during official working hours. Aspirants have been urged to ensure timely submission within the stipulated window.

In a statement, the Electoral Committee assured stakeholders of its commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections aimed at strengthening the growth and development of sports in Nigeria.

The revised election timetable is as follows:

1. Release of Nomination Forms: 6th September 2025

2. Deadline for Submission of Nomination Forms: 11th September 2025

3. Submission of Names of Constituency Representatives (except zonal): 11th September 2025.

4. Screening of Constituency Representatives (except zonal): 12th – 13th September 2025

5. Zonal Representative Elections at Zonal Headquarters: 20th September 2025

6. Hearing of Petitions/Appeals from Zonal Elections: 24th September 2025

7. Bye-Elections from Zonal Petitions: 27th September 2025

8. National Elections at MKO Abiola National Stadium: 4th October 2025

9. Inauguration of Federation Board: 4th October 2025

10. Hearing of Petitions/Appeals from National Elections: 8th October 2025

11. Bye-Elections from National Petitions (if any): 15th October 2025

The committee called on all stakeholders to abide by the outlined guidelines to ensure a smooth electoral process.
