Nigeria Boxing Federation Endorses High-Profile Lagos Fight Night

 The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has endorsed the upcoming “Chaos in the Ring 4” professional boxing event, organised by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with Amir Khan Promotions, scheduled to take place on Friday, May 1, at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The event is expected to showcase a blend of local and international boxing talent, further strengthening Nigeria’s profile in the global boxing landscape. Organisers have assembled a competitive fight card designed to deliver high-intensity matchups alongside entertainment elements, including celebrity bouts.

Among the headline fixtures, Michael McKinson will face Mohammed Sahnoun in an International Welterweight Challenge, while Samuel Antwi is set to battle Paul Kamanga in the International Super Welterweight division. In another key contest, Elvis Ahorgah will take on Joe Lawz for the International Super Middleweight title.

Additional bouts include an International Super Lightweight Challenge between Stephano Amos and Raheem Animashaun. Loren Japhet is also scheduled to square off against Basit Adebayo for the WBO Super Lightweight title.

Beyond the professional contests, the event will feature a celebrity exhibition bout between popular skit maker Carter Efe and musician Portable, adding an entertainment dimension aimed at broadening audience appeal.

Speaking ahead of the event, NBF Vice President, Hon. Omonlei Imadu, commended Balmoral Group Promotions and Amir Khan Promotions for their continued investment in the development of professional boxing in Nigeria. He also acknowledged the role of the National Sports Commission (NSC) in supporting reforms within the sport.

The NBF’s endorsement underscores the federation’s commitment to promoting high-quality boxing events and expanding opportunities for Nigerian fighters on both local and international stages.
