Nigeria has been drawn in Group C alongside Cameroon, Ghana and Tunisia for the 2026 African Women’s Volleyball Championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The competition is scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from August 25 to September 5, 2026, with 15 teams set to compete for continental honours.

The participating teams have been divided into four groups. Host nation Kenya will headline Group A alongside Mali and Zambia, while Group C features Cameroon, Nigeria, Tunisia and Ghana.

Group D comprises Rwanda, Algeria, DR Congo and Burundi.

The championship will carry added significance as it will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Nigeria will therefore be aiming to make a strong showing in Nairobi as it seeks to challenge for the continental title and secure a pathway to the Olympic Games.
