Nigeria Set For Inaugural U-18 Hockey5s Youth Africa Cup 2026

Nigeria will compete in the inaugural U-18 Hockey5s Youth Africa Cup (YAC) 2026, featuring both the men's and women's categories, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 6 to 8, 2026, at the Sikh Union Club in Nairobi, Kenya, where some of Africa's most promising young hockey talents will battle for continental honours.

The competition will also serve as the qualifying event for the first FIH Youth Hockey5s World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in December 2026.

Nigeria's participation offers the country's young hockey players an opportunity to compete against the continent's best while aiming to secure qualification for the historic global tournament.
