Nigeria's Youth Table Tennis Team Intensifies Preparations For ITTF Africa Championships

Nigeria's youth table tennis team has intensified preparations for the upcoming ITTF Africa Youth Championships and Cup with an intensive training camp at Babcock University, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The training camp will play a crucial role in determining the final squad that will represent Nigeria in Accra, Ghana, with players' performances serving as the main criterion for selection.

The reigning African champions at the U19 and U15 levels will head into the competition without Muiz Adegoke and Abdulfatai Abdulbasit, who are no longer eligible after surpassing the age limit.

Attention will now shift to West African champion Kuti Matthew, who is expected to provide leadership and experience as Nigeria aims to defend its continental titles when the championships get underway in Accra next week.

The Nigerian team will be hoping to maintain its dominance on the continent with another strong showing at the prestigious youth tournament.
