Experienced Nigerian defender Denis Nya has completed a move to Libyan Premier League side Al Nasr SC, signing a one-year contract with the Benghazi-based club, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 28-year-old centre-back, who previously made his mark in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), is set to bring solidity and experience to Al Nasr’s backline.

Nya will now team up with Congolese midfielder Fabrice Ngoma, who is also on the books of the Libyan giants.

The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles defender has enjoyed a career that spans several NPFL clubs, including Akwa United, Lobi Stars, and Plateau United, before seeking challenges abroad.

His arrival at Al Nasr is expected to bolster the squad as they target domestic success and a strong campaign on the continental stage.

Nya expressed delight at joining the club and promised to give his best: With the new season already underway, Al Nasr fans will be eager to see the Nigerian defender in action as he begins this new chapter of his career.
