Nigerian Goalkeeper Kayode Bankole Joins Tanzanian Side Gold Geita FC

Nigerian goalkeeper Kayode Bankole has completed a free transfer to Tanzanian Premier League club Gold Geita FC, signing a one-year deal with the newly promoted side, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 23-year-old shot-stopper arrives at Gold Geita after mutually parting ways with South African Premier Soccer League club TS Galaxy.

Bankole joined the Rockets in 2025 following the expiry of his contract with former Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars, but he failed to make a single competitive appearance during his time in South Africa.

The move to Tanzania offers Bankole a chance to restart his career after spending nearly a year on the sidelines. Gold Geita FC earned promotion back to the Tanzanian Premier League by winning the NBC Championship last season.

The club previously represented Tanzania in the CAF Confederation Cup during the 2022/23 campaign.
