Marco Silva has provided clarity on the situation regarding Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze, stating that there have been no recent discussions about a permanent transfer to Fulham, BSNSports.com.ng has sourced.

Chukwueze joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan on Deadline Day, with the option for a permanent deal.

Silva has expressed his desire to strengthen the team's attacking capabilities, and the option to buy is reported to fall within the range of £22-26 million.

Chukwueze has shown enthusiasm about potentially extending his stay at Craven Cottage, contingent upon an agreement between the clubs.

After a challenging start plagued by injuries, Chukwueze made an impressive mark in the Premier League by scoring two goals as a substitute during a thrilling comeback effort against Manchester City, which ended in a 5-3 defeat.

Silva remains calm regarding Chukwueze’s future, emphasizing that conversations about his long-term status have not yet commenced.

"There have been no discussions. We've structured the deal to protect ourselves. He has been a valuable addition to our squad; I’m optimistic he will continue to contribute in the upcoming matches," Silva remarked during his pre-match press briefing on Friday.
