Official: Chidozie Awaziem Returns To FC Nantes

French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes has officially completed the signing of Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following a mutual agreement with Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids, Awaziem was permitted to travel to France, where he successfully underwent medical tests.

The 27-year-old defender signed a three-year contract with the Yellow Canaries on Wednesday morning.

“FC Nantes and Colorado Rapids have reached an agreement for the transfer of Chidozie Awaziem. The Nigerian has signed a three-year contract with the Yellow and Green,” the club announced.

Awaziem is no stranger to Nantes, having previously represented the club during the 2018/2019 season.
