Official: Hervé Renard Reappointed Ivory Coast Head Coach

The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has officially announced the appointment of Hervé Renard as head coach of the Ivory Coast senior men's national team, marking the return of the French tactician to the Elephants more than a decade after leading the country to continental glory, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the federation, the decision reflects its commitment to building on the national team's recent progress while pursuing its long-term ambitions on both the African and international stages.

Renard, who guided Côte d'Ivoire to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title, returns with the responsibility of preparing the Elephants for upcoming international competitions. The federation said his extensive coaching experience, deep understanding of African football, and longstanding connection with Ivorian football make him well positioned to sustain the team's competitive standards.

Working closely with the federation's leadership and technical department, Renard is expected to oversee the continued development of the national team and strengthen its pursuit of future success.

The 57-year-old is expected to arrive in Abidjan in the coming days to officially begin his tenure. The Ivorian Football Federation said he will be formally presented to the media and the public during a press conference, with details of the event to be announced at a later date.

In welcoming Renard back to the national team, the federation expressed its confidence in his ability to lead the Elephants and wished him success as he embarks on a new chapter with Ivorian football.
