Goalkeeper Andre Onana has once again taken a swipe at Samuel Eto'o, intensifying the ongoing rift between the two prominent Cameroonian figures, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Trabzonspor shot-stopper has been at odds with the president of FECAFOOT for several months, a dispute that contributed to his absence from the recent Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.

Speaking on the situation, Onana insisted his issue is not with the national team or the federation, but with an individual he accuses of misusing authority.

“I have no problem with the national team or with FECAFOOT. I simply disagree with an individual who is using FECAFOOT and the national team to settle scores. If you disagree, you're sidelined,” he said.

The former Inter Milan goalkeeper added that he has endured significant challenges for the sake of representing his country.

“I've endured a lot for the love of my country. I was even told I was retiring from international football, but today all I can do is support my younger brothers,” Onana stated.

Despite the tension, the 28-year-old maintained that he continues to back the Indomitable Lions from afar.

“I'm their biggest fan. I send them messages after every match to congratulate them,” he added.

The dispute between Onana and Eto’o remains unresolved, casting uncertainty over the goalkeeper’s future with the Cameroonian national team.
