Highly rated Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has reportedly expressed a strong desire to see Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen join him at the club ahead of next season.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the teenage winger has indicated a preference for Barcelona to prioritise a move for Osimhen as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

Osimhen, currently playing for Galatasaray, is said to be among several high-profile forwards being considered by the Catalan side. Other names linked with the club include Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid and Harry Kane of Bayern Munich.

Football analysts suggest that Yamal’s creativity, pace, and delivery from wide areas would complement Osimhen’s physicality, movement, and clinical presence in the penalty box, potentially forming a formidable attacking partnership.

However, any potential deal could prove financially challenging. Galatasaray are reportedly open to negotiations but are expected to demand a significant transfer fee for the Nigerian international.

The Turkish club is believed to have placed a valuation of €150 million on Osimhen—approximately double the fee they paid to sign him from Napoli last summer.
