Osimhen Expects Tough Second Leg Against Liverpool

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has admitted that the second leg clash between Galatasaray S.K. and Liverpool F.C. will be a difficult encounter despite his side’s narrow victory in the first leg, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Osimhen played a key role as the Turkish champions secured a slim advantage over the English Premier League side in the first leg, boosting their hopes of progressing in the competition.

Speaking after the match, the Nigerian forward acknowledged the challenge that awaits his team in the return fixture.

“The return leg next week will be difficult, but I have faith in my lads. I'm proud to have won today,” Osimhen said.

The 25-year-old also expressed his delight at settling in well since joining Galatasaray and thanked the club’s supporters for their warm reception.

“I'm very happy to have come to Galatasaray. I'm grateful for the love they've shown me and my family,” he added.

The decisive second leg is scheduled to take place at Anfield, with the aggregate winner advancing to the quarter-final stage of the competition.
