Osimhen Hat-trick Boots Fetch ₦1 Million For Coach, Raise Fund For Business
By Our Reporter
Solution FC assistant coach Olisa Ezeasor has confirmed the sale of a pair of match-worn football boots gifted to him by Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, announcing that the proceeds will support a personal business venture, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The boots, worn by Osimhen during his memorable hat-trick performance against São Tomé and Príncipe in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, were handed to Ezeasor as a gesture of appreciation from the Galatasaray forward. The assistant coach received them in October, shortly after Osimhen also scored a hat-trick in Nigeria’s 4–0 World Cup qualifying victory over Benin Republic in Uyo.
Ezeasor revealed last Saturday via social media that he was putting the boots up for sale for ₦1 million, stating that the funds were needed for his business. “Officially putting this boot up for sale. Price: One million naira only. Money needed to support my personal business,” he posted.
By Sunday, he announced that the boots had been purchased by football administrator Fola Olatunji-David, though he declined to disclose the final sale price.
The transaction has since generated discussion among fans, many of whom praised Osimhen’s continued support for Nigerian grassroots football personalities.
