Osimhen Nets No. 5, Lookman Opens Account, Iheanacho Strikes Again

Super Eagles forwards were in deadly form on Saturday night, with Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho all finding the net for their respective clubs, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Osimhen continued his blistering start to the season in Turkey, scoring his fifth goal for Galatasaray in their thrilling 3-2 victory over Göztepe.

The Nigerian striker coolly converted from the penalty spot after being brought down inside the box. He thought he had added another, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside.

Osimhen was not done. He also provided an assist as Galatasaray survived a late scare to claim maximum points.

Lookman breaks duck

In Spain, Lookman finally opened his La Liga account, scoring in Atlético Madrid’s impressive 3-1 away win over Sevilla.

The Nigerian winger doubled Atlético’s lead in the 26th minute, putting the visitors in firm control.

Lookman appeared to have scored again later in the game, but the effort was chalked off for offside.

It was nevertheless a statement performance from the Super Eagles star as he continues to settle into life at Atlético.

Iheanacho rolling back the years

In Turkey, Iheanacho is beginning to look like the player who once terrorised Premier League defences.

The Bursaspor striker scored from the penalty spot and supplied an assist as his side came from behind to beat second-placed Kayserispor 2-1 away from home.

Iheanacho drew Bursaspor level in the 58th minute before setting up the winning goal to complete a superb individual outing.

The former Leicester City forward has now scored four goals and provided two assists in just four matches, putting him among the leading scorers in the Turkish second tier.

With Osimhen scoring freely, Lookman off the mark and Iheanacho rediscovering his touch, Nigeria’s attacking stars are already sending an ominous message ahead of the Super Eagles’ upcoming 2027 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
