Osimhen Officially Becomes Turkish Football's Most Expensive Signing

Super Eagles ace Victor Osimhen has officially become the most expensive signing in Turkish football history, as he's finally set to complete his landmark transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

 The Nigerian international, alongside his family, agent George Gardi and Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavuçku, arrived at Atatürk Airport General Aviation Terminal in Istanbul on Wednesday night from Germany, where he now feels he finally belongs, and will undergo his medical this (Thursday) morning.

This transfer makes Osimhen the most expensive signing, significantly exceeding the €25 million Beşiktaş paid Benfica for Kökçü this summer.

Galatasaray will present him, along with Leroy Sané, this Saturday ahead of the friendly against Lazio at the Ali Sami Yen Rams Park stadium.

A delighted Osimhen told the media: “For me, I don’t know the words to use to explain. It feels so great to be back. Look at the crowd, look at the people who are tracking the flight.

“I’m home, this is where I want to be. I’m happy to be here, to come back to where I feel at home for myself, my family and my friends."

Osimhen will earn €15 million net per year for each of the four years of the contract, and will receive another €10 million in sponsorships.
