The city of Port Harcourt has been confirmed as the host of the 2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The title-deciding championship is scheduled to take place from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, with six of the country’s top women’s football clubs battling for the league crown.

The qualified teams for the competition are defending champions Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, Robo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Abia Angels.

The Super Six tournament, which serves as the final phase of the NWFL Premiership season, will determine the league champions as well as the teams that will represent Nigeria in continental competitions.

Hosts Rivers Angels will look to capitalize on home support in Port Harcourt, while traditional powerhouses Nasarawa Amazons and Bayelsa Queens are also expected to mount strong title challenges.
