The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to announce Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, as the official host of the 2025 CAF Awards, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to reliable sources close to the continental football body, plans are already in advanced stages to move the glamorous event from Marrakech, which successfully hosted the last two editions, to Rabat for this year’s ceremony.
The shift is said to be part of CAF’s effort to give other major Moroccan cities the opportunity to showcase their hospitality and infrastructure, as Morocco continues to play a pivotal role in promoting African football.
The CAF Awards celebrate the continent’s best players, coaches, and teams for their performances over the year. Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman were among the standout stars in recent editions, with Osimhen and Lookman both earning recognition for their impressive performances in Europe and for the Super Eagles.
An official confirmation from CAF is expected in the coming days, as preparations intensify ahead of the prestigious event.
