Rangers to Host Katsina United as NPFL Releases 2026/27 Opening-Day Fixtures

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has released the opening-day fixtures for the 2026/27 season following the official draw conducted in Ibadan on Friday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Defending champions Rangers will begin the defence of their league title at home against Katsina United in one of the standout fixtures of the opening weekend.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) will kick off their campaign with a South West derby against newly promoted Inter Lagos at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

Other opening-day fixtures will see Ikorodu City host Ranchers Bees, while Abia Warriors welcome Kun Khalifa. Bendel Insurance will take on Warri Wolves in a regional clash, and newly promoted Barau FC will face Nasarawa United.

Elsewhere, Niger Tornadoes entertain Enyimba, Rivers United host Plateau United, Doma United face Sporting Lagos, and Kwara United welcome Kano Pillars.
