Rivers United Begin Pre-Season Training For CAF Champions League, NPFL Campaign

Rivers United Football Club have officially resumed pre-season training as preparations intensify for the 2026/2027 football season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Pride of Rivers held their first training session on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Garden City Sports Centre, Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
The session was supervised by the club's Technical Manager, Finidi George, alongside members of his technical crew, as players began preparations for the new campaign.
Rivers United will be aiming to challenge for domestic honours in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) while also preparing for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Port Harcourt-based side is expected to continue its pre-season programme in the coming weeks as Finidi George works to build a competitive squad ahead of the new season.
