Rwanda Coach Urges Nigerians To Support Chelle

Head coach of Rwanda’s Amavubi, Adel Amrouche, has called on Nigerians to rally behind Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Speaking after his side’s 1-0 defeat to Nigeria in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

Amrouche acknowledged that some Nigerians are yet to warm up to the French-born tactician but stressed the need for patience and unity. 

“Your coach? Eric is a good coach. I know some people may be against him. But he’s starting to do his job. Don’t be negative. You must respect your coach,” Amrouche told reporters.

He further noted that Chelle deserves the freedom to execute his plans with the team, urging Nigerians to give him the necessary support to succeed.

Nigeria’s victory, courtesy of Tolu Arokodare’s second-half strike, boosted their chances of reaching the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while Rwanda fell short despite a spirited display.
