Schalke 04 Complete Signing Of Nigerian Attacker Junior Adamu

German club FC Schalke 04 have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Austrian international Junior Adamu from SC Freiburg, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 25-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at the Veltins-Arena until 30 June 2029, as the Royal Blues continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Adamu arrives at Schalke with valuable experience at both club and international levels. 

The versatile attacker has earned nine caps for the Austrian national team and is expected to add intensity, pace, and flexibility to Schalke's frontline.

The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish giants Celtic, where he enjoyed a successful spell. 

During his time in Glasgow, Adamu helped the Hoops secure the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup, adding silverware to his growing career achievements.

Schalke will hope that Adamu's quality and winning mentality can play a key role as the club aims to achieve its objectives in the upcoming campaign.
