Jamaica’s Oblique Seville claimed victory in the men’s 100 metres at the Silesia Diamond League on Sunday, clocking a meeting-record 9.83 seconds, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Seville edged American Kenny Bednarek, who finished second in 9.87s, while fellow American Christian Coleman took third in 9.93s.

Nigeria’s Kayinsola Ajayi produced a strong performance to place fourth in 9.94s.

South Africa’s Gift Leotlela followed in fifth with 9.95s, while compatriot Akani Simbine finished seventh in 9.96s. Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme crossed the line ninth in 9.99s.

The result marked another competitive showing for African sprinters on the Diamond League circuit, with Ajayi leading the continental contingent in the final.
