Burnley have confirmed that South African striker Lyle Foster is once again receiving specialist care after seeking help for ongoing mental health challenges, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Championship club announced that Foster is currently under the care of medical professionals and is receiving the support he needs as he continues his recovery.
Burnley added that the 24-year-old has the full backing of his family, teammates and everyone at the club. In a statement, the club requested privacy for Foster and his loved ones, noting that no further updates will be provided at this stage.
This is not the first time the Bafana Bafana forward has faced such challenges.
Foster previously spoke publicly about his struggles with depression and anxiety, stepping away from football to prioritise his mental well-being before returning to action.
The latest development comes just days after South African football was shaken by the reported death of Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams, further highlighting the importance of mental health awareness and support within the game.
