Shodunnke To Champion Grassroots Investment At Africa Football Business Summit In Kenya
Ibrahim Lateef
Shogo Shodunnke, the visionary Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Phreestyle Sport and founder of the AMAPRO African Development Project, will join Africa’s most influential voices at the fourth African Business Sport Summit slated for Mombasa, Kenya between 23rd and 24th October, 2025, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The summit, which will gather decision-makers, investors, and policy shapers, has positioned Shodunnke as a central figure in discussions on football’s economic potential and governance.
For over a decade, he has turned grassroots football into a viable development and investment pipeline, using sport to uplift communities and create pathways for Africa’s underserved youth.
Through AMAPRO, Shodunnke has bridged the gap between amateur talent and professional opportunity, producing athletes who now thrive in major leagues across the world.
His approach aligns football development with socio-economic empowerment, with the use of football not just to discover talent, but to stimulate local economies, attract sponsorship, and strengthen community structures.
According to the organizers, Shodunnke will speak on the theme "Building Africa’s Football Future: Investment, Governance and Grassroots Excellence", a session expected to influence how nations prioritise and fund football from the grassroots up to global stardom.
"We’re excited to welcome Shogo Shodunnke of Phreestyle Sport and the AMAPRO Africa Development Program as a speaker at the Africa Football Business Summit 2025," organizers said on their official official Facebook account.
"Shogo is committed to reimagining football and sports development in Nigeria and across Africa.
"Through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership, he’s enabling athletes and communities to thrive, both on and off the pitch.
"From turning ideas into creative expression to building sustainable networks that professionalise African sport, Shogo is shaping a future where youth potential meets opportunity."
Shodunnke’s inclusion in the summit underscores the growing recognition that Africa’s football success is inseparable from strategic investment, visionary leadership, and governance reforms.
