Six Nigerian Tennis Players Begin Camp Ahead Of Davis Cup Clash With Morocco

Six Nigerian tennis players have commenced preparations for the country’s Davis Cup World Group II tie against Morocco in Rabat next month, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The players are currently in camp at the tennis section of the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja, where they have spent more than a week undergoing intensive training under coach Benson Ishicheli.
The squad comprises Canice Abua, Daniel Adeleye, Michael Emmanuel, Abubakar Yusuf, Lucky Danjuma and Franklin Jimoh.
Ishicheli has been putting the players through various drills as the team intensifies preparations for the crucial encounter, scheduled for September 19 and 20, 2026, in Morocco.
The players are expected to depart Nigeria in about a week to continue their preparations in Morocco ahead of the two-day tie.
Nigeria will be hoping to produce a strong performance against the North Africans as they battle for progression in the Davis Cup World Group II.
