Nigerian international Peter Olayinka is set to continue his career in Saudi Arabia after agreeing to join Al Wehda FC, the former club of fellow Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 30-year-old left winger and forward, who has previously featured for clubs including Slavia Prague, Red Star Belgrade and APOEL Nicosia, will move to the Mecca-based side.

Reports indicate the deal includes a salary of around €2.5 million per year.

Al Wehda, nicknamed the Knights of Mecca, currently competes in the Saudi First Division League after being relegated from the top flight.

Olayinka’s arrival adds experience and attacking quality to the squad as they aim to push for promotion.

Olayinka, born in Ibadan, has earned four caps for Nigeria since making his debut in 2019.

He becomes the latest Super Eagles player to head to the Kingdom, following in the footsteps of Ighalo, who spent two seasons at Al Wehda between 2023 and 2025.
