Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare, has been sanctioned by Wolverhampton Wanderers following a dressing room altercation with teammate Mateus Mane, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to @PoodyWolves, the incident occurred after Wolves’ heavy 4-0 defeat to West Ham United last week, where tensions reportedly flared among players.
What initially began as a verbal exchange between Arokodare and Mane escalated into a physical confrontation, with the Nigerian forward identified as the sole aggressor.
Club authorities acted swiftly, imposing a fine on Arokodare as part of disciplinary measures aimed at maintaining order within the squad.
In the aftermath of the incident, Arokodare was left out of action, remaining an unused substitute during Wolves’ subsequent 3-0 loss to Leeds United on Saturday.
The development has cast uncertainty over the striker’s future at the club, with sources indicating that his position within the squad could be under review ahead of the summer transfer window.
