Super Falcons star Rinsola Babajide says her hunger for trophies inspired her summer switch to Italian giants AS Roma Femminile, as the club gears up for their 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying clash with Sporting, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The 27-year-old Nigerian international signed a two-year contract with the Rome-based side in July after leaving Spanish Liga F outfit UDG Tenerife.
She is expected to feature in Roma’s third-round first-leg tie against the Portuguese club as they push for a place in the group stage of Europe’s elite women’s competition.
Speaking to SABC Sport, the 2024 WAFCON winner said: “I joined Roma because I want silverware. I’ve already tasted success, and it felt incredible, I want even more. Roma’s women’s team has a proud history of winning league and cup titles, and I’m determined to add to that.
"My focus is on trophies and, of course, on playing Champions League football.”
