Team Lagos On Comfortable Lead As National Youth Games End Saturday

With less than 24 hours to the official closing of the 9th National Youth Games holding in Asaba, Team Lagos has remained top on the medals table with 37 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Team Edo is trailing behind with 25 gold, 10 silver and 16 bronze medals, while the defending champion and host Delta occupies the third position with 19 gold, 21 silver and 25 bronze medals. 

Meanwhile, 31 states have registered their presence on the medals table, winning a total of 491 medals, comprising 154 gold, 141 silver and 196 bronze medals.

The Games have seen young athletes break and set new records, igniting the passion of fans and signalling the emergence of future global stars.

With the closing ceremony scheduled for Saturday, September 6, all eyes are on the home stretch to see which state will ultimately claim glory.
