Team Nigeria’s quartet of Emmanuel Ojeli, Patience Okon-George, Samson Nathaniel, and Jecinta Lawrence delivered a strong performance to clinch victory in the Mixed 4x400m event in Gaborone, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian team crossed the finish line in a time of 3:16.76 seconds, finishing ahead of their competitors to secure first place in the race.

Despite the impressive win, their time fell short of the 3:15.07 seconds qualification standard required for the upcoming World Relays, meaning the team did not automatically secure a spot for the global event.

The performance, however, highlights Nigeria’s growing strength in mixed relay events as the athletes continue to build momentum on the international stage.
