TojeMarine Invitational sets benchmark for West African handball – Adjeyi

Former Secretary General of the Greater Accra Handball Association (GAHA), Eric Adjeyi, has commended the immediate past President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Sam Ocheho, for the successful organisation of the recently concluded TojeMarine Invitational Championship.

Adjeyi described the championship as one of the best handball tournaments in West Africa, praising its high standard of organisation and the level of competition.

The Special Aide to the President of the Ghana Athletics Federation said the international tournament has set a benchmark for other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

He said: "The TojeMarine Invitational Championship is one of the finest handball tournaments I have witnessed in West Africa. The organisation, participation, and overall standard of the competition were outstanding."

"This tournament has shown what is possible when there is commitment, vision, and proper planning. It is a challenge to other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to raise the standard of handball competitions in the region."

Adjeyi also applauded Ocheho for creating a platform that promotes the growth of the sport across the continent.

"I must commend Sam Ocheho for his passion and dedication to the development of handball. Initiatives like this provide valuable exposure for clubs and players while strengthening relationships among handball-playing nations."

He urged other countries to emulate Nigeria by organising similar competitions that would bring together clubs from across the region.

"I encourage other countries to follow Nigeria's example by organising befitting international tournaments that accommodate clubs from across the region.

"Such competitions will greatly contribute to the development of handball in Africa and provide more opportunities for our athletes to compete at a high level," Adjeyi added.
