Transfer Update: Bologna Close In On Nigerian Defender

Italian Serie A side Bologna are on the verge of completing the signing of Nigerian defender Rahim Alhassane from Spanish club Real Oviedo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The deal is understood to be in its final stages, with both clubs close to reaching a full agreement for the transfer.

According to reports, Bologna will initially sign the defender on a season-long loan, with an obligation to make the move permanent. 

The permanent transfer clause is valued at €3.5 million.

Alhassane's expected arrival is part of Bologna's efforts to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season, with the Nigerian set to make the switch to Serie A once the remaining formalities are completed.
