Transfer Update: Former Flying Eagles Midfielder Moves To Turkey

Former Nigerian Flying Eagles midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has completed a deadline-day move to Turkish TFF 1. Lig outfit Gençlerbirliği, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The skilful 24-year-old sealed the switch from English Championship side Watford, where he has spent the past few seasons, showcasing his creativity in midfield.
According to reports from Ankara, Dele-Bashiru passed his medical examinations on Friday before putting pen to paper on a multi-year contract with the capital-based club.
The move is expected to give him regular first-team football as Gençlerbirliği aim to challenge for promotion to the Turkish Super Lig.
Dele-Bashiru rose to prominence as part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland, earning praise for his technical ability and composure on the ball.
Since then, he has developed his game in England, featuring for Watford and spending loan spells at Reading and Huddersfield Town.
With this transfer, the midfielder is set for a new adventure in Turkey, where his experience from English football could prove vital in helping Gençlerbirliği achieve their ambitions this season.
